Bioadhesives Research Team

The Bioadhesives Research Team is part of the Center for Crops Utilization Research (CCUR). The team focuses on creating biobased adhesives and is also seeking to transfer technology from the lab to a manufacturing environment.

The team is focusing on research to develop bio-based adhesives that:

• Have equal or better performance than the current synthetic adhesives
• Are more environmentally friendly than the current synthetic adhesives
• Are cost competitive with current synthetic adhesives

The Team is developing wood adhesives made from soybean flour, a renewable and biodegradable source.
