Academic Exchange Programs in Biorenewables
CCUR coordinates two international academic exchange programs for undergraduate and graduate students. Both programs are focused on biorenewable products and processes.
EU/US Academic Exchange Program
The EU-US Academic Exchange Program provides seniors and graduate students with an opportunity to study abroad for a semester (five months). Students will take courses and/or work on research projects that focus on technologies and processing of bioproducts for food and non-food use.
Two-Week Intensive Program
The Two-Week Intensive Program provides advanced student training in the expanding fields of biobased product engineering, processing and product development. Iowa State students will join other students from the United States and Europe to study sustainable utilization of renewable resources.
Educational Materials
CCUR has produced a variety of educational materials for teaching the processing and utilization of biomass, oilseeds, and cereals. These materials have been useful for undergraduate and graduate courses and also in training university outreach and extension personnel on ways to add value to crops. They have also been used for training industry personnel, from operations to management, as well as in technical sales and product training applications.
