Show-Ling joined the Center for Crops Utilization Research in May 2020. She has been with Iowa State University since 2010. She comes to CCUR with extensive experience in managing projects in the area of food and feed processing and in industrial fermentation. Her role as an assistant director is to support the Director with implementing the CCUR strategic plan and daily operations. Show-Ling oversees financial accounting and budget management, manages service agreements/contracts with industry and academic collaborators, assists with research grand applications, and coordinates projects with centers (e.g. BEI, BCRF, CIRAS, and others) across campus. Additionally, she handles the center’s public relations and serves as a spokesperson for CCUR.
